Plant Breeding Project Update
The selection process for my female plants is currently 80% complete, though I may add a few more candidates before finalizing the lineup.
Current Female Selections
- GG4
- Hanyo
- Aoiro Chizu
- Key Lime Pie
- Grape Gas × Peace Rings (“Gas Rings” for easier project logistics)
I’m also currently evaluating an Akai Chizu female as I continue working through the selection process.
Male Selection
The male has already been selected, but I won’t be revealing it just yet. There’s still a chance I may change my mind before the project officially begins, so I’ll keep that information private until the lineup is finalized.
Project Timeline
I’m still searching for a few additional female candidates to ensure I have the strongest possible genetics to work with. Based on the current schedule, I expect this breeding project to run through late 2027, allowing plenty of time for careful selection, testing, evaluation, and refinement throughout the breeding process.
Purple Widow Evaluation
One of the projects we’re currently evaluating is a Purple Widow line that was generously gifted to us in seed form by a colleague. We’re grateful for the opportunity to work with these genetics and explore their potential.
As the plants mature, each individual will be carefully observed and documented for traits such as vigor, structure, aroma, coloration, growth characteristics, and overall performance. Any standout selections will be considered for future breeding projects following thorough evaluation.
This project is currently in the evaluation phase, and additional updates will be shared as the plants continue to develop.
